As every year, the trend is to make room for large and sumptuous ships of immense tonnage and dimensions that overshadow the small jewels of the companies that already have a few years of activity by now. A case in point is Elation Carnevale, still a "young lady", relatively speaking, with so many years of sailing ahead of her. Debuted in March 1998 Elation is the week of the eight ships that make up the Fantasy class. All eight of Carnival's Fantasy-class ships are undergoing continuous improvement work with the "Evolutions of Fun" program. Carnival Elation received part of its updates in 2009 where they were introduced: the relaxation area dedicated to adults only a club only for teenagers aged 12 to 14, expansion of the buffet options. The second part of the renovation will focus on adding a resort-style pool and Carnival WaterWorks water park.
